40 signs you really are a lousy PHP programmer

Today, i found an article showing some lackings of PHP programmers.

For example …

  • don’t keep the different layers seperated using something like MVC
  • have never seen the advantage of unit tests or testing in general
  • don’t return content but echo or print it from your functions or classes (Grrrrrr)
  • hard code messages and configuration parameters
  • don’t optimize your application design with established design patterns
  • don’t use regex for string operations (with sorry 4 mwasim – smile)

      Well this message is just for fun … By mwasim, i come to know that str_replace is better for simple replace operations. If multiple str_replace(s) are required, it’s better to use regex.
